Overview
This guide explains how to configure return options for your customers. While you can manage returns independently, Seel also offers Worry-free Purchase protection that handles all return requests on your behalf. Learn more about Seel's Worry-free Purchase protection.
Return Methods
You can enable three types of return methods for your customers:

Refund to Original Payment Method
Customers receive refunds directly to their original payment account. -
Refund to Store Credit
Customers receive store credit in the form of a gift card equal to the value of returned products. This option encourages future purchases. -
Exchange
Customers can exchange their returned items in two ways:- Variant Exchange: Limited to exchanging for the same product or different variants of the original product
- Any Product Exchange: Allows exchanges for any product in your store

Price Difference Settings
When offering exchanges, you can control how price differences are handled:
Higher-Priced Items
- Enable to allow exchanges for higher-priced items
- Disable to restrict exchanges to items of equal or lower value
Lower-Priced Items (Leftover Policy)
Choose how to handle remaining balance when customers exchange for lower-priced items:
- Refund to original payment method
- Issue store credit
Customer Experience
All enabled return methods appear in your Customer Portal when customers initiate a return request. This gives them flexibility while maintaining your control over the return process.
