Return Assurance gives your customers peace of mind by offering return-as-an-option for non-refundable items. Seel also offers the option to handle the return requests from shoppers for you so that you literally get hands-off for any return issues. All you have to do is just a few clicks to set it up!
How does it work?
Merchants configure settings on the Open Platform
To configure Return Assurance, merchants just need a few clicks on the Seel Open Platform to set up everything, and then the Return Option widget will be inserted to your storefront based on your configuration.
Shoppers opt-in at checkout
Shoppers can purchase a Return Assurance policy from Seel by including the Return Option in their checkout flow so that they can return previously non-refundable or Final Sale items.

Return to Seel for any reason
With Return Assurance, shoppers can submit a return request according to the return method the merchant chose on the Seel Open Platform.
If items are to be returned to merchant, shoppers shall submit the request to the merchant and send back the items according to merchants‘ instructions. In this case, Seel will charge a buyback fee.
If items are to be returned to Seel, shoppers shall initiate the return request from Seel Resolution Portal, and send the items to Seel liquidation partner warehouse. A detailed instruction will be sent to the shopper upon return request submission at Seel Resolution Portal.

How to add Return Assurance to my online store?
Adding Return Assurance to your store is simple. All you have to do is:
- Sign up or log into your Seel account on Open Platform (learn more here)
- Connect your Seel account to your Shopify store (learn more here)
- Click 'Apply' at the Return Assurance section in the Open Platform dashboard. Fill in the application form and submit (learn more here)
Seel team will then review your application. Once approved, the Return Option widget will be inserted into the checkout flow of your store and go live on your selected date and time.
